President
Since 2002, Greg has taken on various roles within the company leading up to his current position as HBI President. He began as a PM for Hudson Bay, working on projects in Alaska, which then progressed towards being an Estimator, followed by the VP of Business Development, to eventually becoming HBI Vice President. For over a decade, Greg has grown alongside HBI founders, fine-tuning his capabilities and skills within the industry. Jim King, emeritus Hudson Bay Insulation President, transitioned out of his role and Greg officially became HBI President in 2020.
Greg enjoys maintaining and further strengthening the company's relationships with loyal and existing clients, in addition to meeting and creating relationships with new clients. In his personal life, Greg enjoys being outdoors! He spends a lot of his time with his wife and daughter where they fish, golf, and go for walks together.

Katie was introduced to our HBI Team in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer. She manages and oversees the company's financial operations and reporting. She has various recreational hobbies, with her top three surrounding family travels, quilting, and supporting her kids in a multitude of sports and activities including soccer, basketball, ballet, gymnastics, and baseball to name a few!

Beginning his journey with HBI in 2013, Mike delegates projects with our clients across the state of Oregon and Southwest Washington; including communities such as Castle Rock, Longview, Vancouver, and Kalama to name a few. On his personal time, he enjoys fabricating as well as off-roading on sand dunes along the Oregon coast with his friends and family!

Ryan began his HBI journey in 2013 and is a valuable resource for our clients in Eastern Washington, Idaho, and Montana. In addition, he delegates HBI projects outside of the PNW region, upon considerable assessment. Outside of work, you can find him mountain biking, boating, and being outside with his wife and three kids!

Tom began his journey with HBI in 2010 as the company's Firestop & Thermal Insulation Division Manager. He ensures all the needs and requests within his division are all accounted for, and enjoys the level of teamwork that goes into each project. Outside of work, his five children keeps him busy with their hobbies, sports, and activities. He loves music, which can be vouched for by his vast record collection, but life stops when the Seahawks are on!

Tyler began his journey as HBI's Northern Washington Division Manager in 2022. He is a resource to our clients north of the Seattle Metropolis; serving Mount Vernon and it's surrounding cities. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys being active outdoors with his wife and two young children and is a basketball, baseball, and golf aficionado!

Will joined HBI as the Seattle Division Manager in 2024, overseeing the mechanical insulation division. Previously, he spent 15 years with Howard S. Wright as a General Contractor, leading project teams, working in operations, estimating, and sales. Known for fostering strong relationships, Will also focuses on strong operational excellence across his teams. Outside of work, he's an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, coaching their sports teams and keeping up with all of their activities. A passionate sports fan, he roots for the Seahawks, Mariners, and his Washington State University Cougars the most.

Serving as the Safety Director, Chris is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of Hudson Bay Insulation's safety strategies, policies and processes. Chris started his career with Hudson Bay in 2008 as the Purchasing Manager, where he quickly developed an interest in construction safety and since that time, has held several safety leadership positions including becoming the company’s Safety Director in 2015. In 2020, Chris earned the Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Outside the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter, fishing, golfing, camping and exploring the PNW.

Crystal joined the HBI family in 2013 as the administrative assistant. In 2015 she transitioned to the company's HR Administrator where she is responsible for maintaining compliance with all applicable employment policies, procedures, and reporting requirements along with processing and retaining all personnel records. Within her position, she processes all necessary background checks, administers the company's drug-free workplace programs, coordinates health benefits, and validates unemployment claims along with paid family and medical leave. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and taking time to relax at home on the weekends.

In my position as the HR Administrator, I perform my duties consistently with an elevated level of integrity. Building trust is an essential part of my position and I do so by holding myself accountable, responding in an accurate and timely fashion, and taking responsibility for my actions and admitting when I am wrong. I genuinely have the best interests of both the employees and the company at heart in every aspect I do."

Chris began his journey as an insulator in Seattle in 2010. 13 years later, he transitioned into his current role as Seattle Insulation Superintendent, where he ensures his team's safety, efficiency, and consistency. In his daily life, Chris enjoys coaching his two children in various sports including soccer, baseball, and golf. You can also find him planning family weekend getaways, golfing with his friends, and sitting by the fire with a crisp cold beverage!

James joined the HBI family in 2014. Starting his journey in Portland, he moved up to work in our Seattle division for a few years, before returning back home as Portland's Firestop Superintendent. Ensuring that manpower within his team are completing projects safely, efficiently, and in a timely manner. In his personal time, you can find James at the gym - focusing on strength training and cardiovascular endurance nearly daily, along with being quite the gamer aficionado!

James joined the HBI family in 2017, as a field employee. In 2019, he transitioned into our Portland office as one of our Insulation Superintendents. He manages HBI manpower within the company's Oregon and Southwest Washington division, where he determines which field employee is most suitable for the job needed; each person using their strengths to get the project done most efficiently. Outside of work, James can be spotted out in the yard working on new projects and finding enrichment in a craft he's always loved, woodworking!

"All four are solid values, but dependability is key for me. It kind of goes back to the old 'handshake agreements', where you'd give someone your word and stick to it. If you tell someone you are going to be somewhere, you show up on time if not earlier. When I was in the field, either running a job or working solo, I would always try to be at least a half hour early; I felt that it helped me create a kind of pre-task plan in my head to sort out the most productive way to navigate the day."

Joel was welcomed to the HBI family in 2018, specifically in our Seattle Firestop division. His current role as the division's Superintendent consists of coordinating a safe and enjoyable workday. Establishing his role from a place of trust and respect, he strives to ensure that his team navigates every job-site safely and confidently. His main hobby growing up was skateboarding, envisioning to be the "next Tony Hawk". Today, you can find Joel riding through life with his family, "I don't have any projects at the moment, but I have a son and daughter who are more than enough of a project to hold me down for a while, and spending time with them makes me the happiest."

Mark has been a part of the HBI family since 2016, starting off as a mechanical insulator apprentice and transitioning to his current position as our Montana division Superintendent. He ensures that his team has everything they need to complete their tasks effectively and efficiently. Apart from his career, his life revolves around his family. They spend a majority of their time outdoors; camping, fishing, hunting, and skiing. He coaches his three boys' basketball, football, and baseball teams.

Seav has been with the HBI family for nearly two decades, beginning in 2005 as an HBI truck driver. He then transitioned into HBI Seattle's firestop division, became the firestop Superintendent, to his current role as the firestop Quality Assurance Coordinator. Outside of work, Seav enjoys being outdoors with his wife and their three boys. They often go camping, fishing, and hunting.
